Margarita is a female producer and her parcel is located in Sanchijil. A small town located in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas, within the Soconusco region of Chiapas. The farmers of Salchiji live between mountains from where spectacularly beautiful landscapes can be appreciated but are isolated from population centers which makes it difficult for them to access direct marketing channels for the sale of their crops. It takes more than two hours from their homes to the nearest city, despite having paved roads. They grow on steep slopes located more than 1,500 meters above sea level. These geographical conditions favor the production of high-quality coffee, with higher yields and better cup characteristics: acidity, aroma, and body.
